  • Is making slime safe?
    Like all science experiments, making slime needs to be supervised by a parent or Proffesor Slime :) The most important part is to make sure your hands are washed and you are making slime away from carpets and clothes. Wear short sleeves and protective apron all the time!
  • Is Borax safe?
    There been some informations about borax beeing harmfull. In order to make slime you need to use activator. Saline solution/contact lens solution contains tetraborate which is borax. The amount of borax in activator and contact lens solution is so minimal that it wont harm you in any way! Actually borax is used to sterilise many clinical things. If its unsafe how they making contact lens solution with it?
  • Can I Make Slime Without Borax or Boric Acid?
    Absolutely! There are many recipes for slime that don't require borax or boric acid. However, be aware some products contain the chemical (such as saline solution and some detergents). Not all of the borax-free slime recipes listed online are really borax-free -- but there are some good recipes that don't contain the chemicals.
  • How Long Can I Keep My Slime?
    Slime doesn't go bad, but you may want to toss it if it develops mold or if it dries out. Refrigerated slime, kept in a baggie, should last for a couple of weeks and can last months in a sealed bag, unrefrigerated. If slime contains borax, it shouldn't spoil at all. Edible slime recipes should be chilled for storage and thrown out.
  • My slime is melted!
    This is completely normal in glue based products when its hot outside! Use some activator or make soda solution* to fix it! *1tbsp of bicarbonate of soda mixed in glass of warm water
  • My slime is too sticky!
    Slime attracts dirt, so before playing with it wash your hands very carefully. Try to poke your slime before you take it out from the container to check if its sticky. Make some soda solution to fix sticky slime! 1tbsp of soda mixed with glass of warm water!
  • Slime is in my hair!
    Oh no! Please make sure slime isn't even near your hair/clothes, but if this happens use vinegar to disolve the slime
